Agentic Buildcamp

Venn diagram showing Agentic Buildcamp at the intersection of Cognitive Gym, Agentic Engineering, Agentic Knowledge Work, and Software Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Agentic Buildcamp is our instance of a Cognitive Gym: a coach-led, cohort-based program for building a real AI product. Every builder gets coach feedback through the group, both sync and async; a 1-on-1 coaching add-on is available for extra direct time on top of that. Sherpa-B is the coaching tool that runs alongside both.

Why you can't passively watch someone lift and get stronger
Watching someone else build doesn't teach your hands what a broken retrieval pipeline feels like, or how to debug an agent that's confidently wrong. Buildcamp is built around your own project from day one, not recorded lectures.
Why a coach watches your form before bad habits set in
Early feedback on your specific build prevents bad patterns from calcifying. Every builder gets coach feedback through sync sessions and async review, the same reason a personal trainer corrects your form in the first few sessions rather than the last. The 1-on-1 add-on layers extra direct time with a coach on top of that.
Why alumni come back
Alumni make up a meaningful share of every new cohort. Each cohort is a new project, not a repeat of the last one, and the group energy still helps even once you already know the lifecycle.

What Building With Sherpa-B Looks Like

You work on a real project from day one. Sherpa-B guides you through the full development lifecycle as guided workflows inside Claude Code. At each phase you get a set of questions and frameworks, best practices delivered in context, and a thought partner that surfaces assumptions and blind spots. Each step produces a concrete artifact (problem framing document, evaluation dataset, architecture spec) that carries forward into the next phase.

The KnowledgeOps methodology covers the complete lifecycle:

1
Ideation & problem framing
Define the problem worth solving before writing a line of code.
2
Evaluation design
Establish how you will know the system works before building it.
3
Architecture & context management
Design the agent's decision structure and information flows.
4
UX & interaction design
Define how humans and the system interact.
5
Implementation
Build with Claude Code guided by the design decisions already made.
6
Deployment
Move from prototype to production with a clear deployment plan.
7
Go-to-market
Plan the launch: public showcase strategy, positioning, and adoption.

Sherpa-B tracks your progress across workflows and prompts a reflection at the end of each one. For Agentic Buildcamp participants, your head coach sees those artifacts and reflections alongside the rest of your cohort's, so feedback accounts for where you actually are, not just the phase you're supposed to be in.
